Structure Volume Calculator (Reinforced Concrete)
Calculate total concrete volume and cement, sand, gravel needs from a list of structural elements (beams, columns, sloofs). Free, for estimates & BoQ.
Structural elements list
Fill each element: name, section (width × height cm), length (m), and count.
1,7 m³
1,5 m³
Advanced — concrete composition per m³▾
For concrete mix material estimate; adjust for a different mix.

Quantity, not a strength verdict
This is an early estimate based on common rules of thumb, NOT a structural calculation. The truly safe sizes/values depend on load, soil conditions, and seismic risk at your site, and MUST be calculated by a certified structural engineer (also a PBG permit requirement). Do not build structural elements based on this calculator alone.
Structure volume & materials
Volume & material estimate for planning/BoQ. The correct dimensions & concrete grade follow an engineer's calculation.

How to calculate structure volume
Volume = section × length × count
Each element's concrete volume = section area (width × height) × length × count of similar elements. The calculator sums all elements (beams, columns, sloofs) for total concrete volume.
From volume to materials
From total concrete volume, the calculator estimates cement (bags), sand (m³), and gravel (m³) using adjustable concrete mix coefficients — ideal for building a material BoQ.
Quantity estimate, not design
The calculator computes volume for the dimensions you enter. Safe dimensions and concrete grade are still determined by a structural calculation by a certified engineer.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate column and beam concrete volume?
Each element's volume = width × height × length × count. Example: a 20×35 cm beam, 4 m long, 6 of them = 0.2×0.35×4×6 = 1.68 m³. The calculator sums all elements you enter for total structural concrete volume.
Are cement, sand, gravel needs included?
Yes. From total concrete volume, the calculator estimates cement (bags), sand (m³), and gravel (m³) based on concrete mix coefficients (default 1:2:3, editable). This makes it easy to build a material list for a BoQ.
Is rebar included here?
Not on this page. Structure volume focuses on concrete. For rebar needs and weight, use the reinforcement calculator which computes main bars and stirrups per element, then combine results in the BoQ.
Can results go straight into a BoQ?
Yes. Press "Add to BoQ" and the concrete volume and its materials go to the BoQ calculator as work items with units — you just fill in the unit prices there.
Are this calculator's element dimensions safe?
The calculator only computes volume from the dimensions you set. Whether those dimensions and concrete grade are safe for the load depends on a structural analysis by a certified engineer, and a PBG permit requirement. The Luxury Art team can help.
