What We Check

Four aspects that decide whether your website actually works.

Speed & Core Web Vitals

Mobile PageSpeed score plus LCP, CLS, and INP from Google.

Mobile readiness

Viewport meta and a phone-friendly layout.

On-page SEO

Title, meta description, H1 structure, image alt, schema, sitemap & robots.

Trust signals

HTTPS/SSL, favicon, and a visible WhatsApp button.

Why It Matters

A healthy website isn't about looks — it's about revenue.

Most visitors judge a business within the first few seconds. If your site takes eight seconds to appear on a phone, many prospects close the tab before they ever see your product — and they rarely come back. Google itself uses speed as a ranking factor, so a slow site doesn't just lose visitors, it also gets harder to find.

Website health is more than speed. A site that isn't mobile-friendly shrinks text and makes buttons hard to tap, yet most traffic in Indonesia comes from phones. A site without HTTPS is flagged "Not Secure" by browsers — a signal that instantly erodes trust. Sloppy page titles and descriptions make your Google listing less clickable. These small things stack up into the difference between a site that works and one that merely exists.

This tool helps you see that condition in numbers, not gut feeling. It combines performance data from Google PageSpeed Insights with a direct inspection of your page, then sums it into one score and a list of actionable findings — so you know exactly what to fix first.

Learn from common slips

7 common mistakes when building a business website

1

Ignoring mobile speed

The site looks great on the designer's laptop but crawls on a phone with an average connection. Uncompressed images and piled-up scripts slow the load — right where most of your customers are.

2

Not optimized for search

The site is online but never shows up when people search for your service, because it lacks proper titles, descriptions, and a sitemap. A site nobody finds may as well not exist to new customers.

3

No HTTPS yet

Without an SSL certificate, the browser flags the site "Not Secure". Many owners don't realize the label is showing — enough to make visitors hesitate to enter details or reach out.

4

No clear way to get in touch

The visitor is interested but can't find a WhatsApp button or a tappable number. Every lost click here is a prospect that quietly evaporates.

5

Content you can't update yourself

Every price change or promo means emailing the developer and waiting. Eventually the site goes stale because updating it feels like a chore.

6

All effects, little substance

Animations and sliders everywhere weigh the page down and distract from what actually matters: what you sell and why someone should choose you.

7

Build once, then forget

The site is treated as a one-off project. Without upkeep, outdated plugins, broken links, and slowly declining performance erode trust and rankings — often unnoticed until revenue dips too.

Reading Your Result

You have a score — where do you start?

  1. 1

Start with the red (critical) findings. These are usually very slow speed, missing HTTPS, or not being mobile-ready — the things that most directly affect visitors and rankings.

  2. 2

Move on to the yellow (needs work) findings. These are refinements like meta description, image alt, or sitemap — not fatal, but they add up to an edge.

  3. 3

Remember the performance score can shift each time you test, depending on network and server conditions. Treat it as a priority guide, not an absolute verdict.

  4. 4

If most findings are critical and you're unsure where to begin, that's a sign the site needs a thorough overhaul — not one-off patches. At that point, a quick consultation often saves time and money.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this website checker free?

Yes, completely free. To prevent abuse, each visitor can run up to 5 new checks per day. Re-checking the same URL doesn't count because the result comes from a 24-hour cache.

Where does the score come from?

It combines two sources: performance from Google PageSpeed Insights (speed & Core Web Vitals) and a direct on-page inspection (HTTPS, mobile readiness, title & meta description, H1 structure, image alt, schema, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and a WhatsApp button). The weighting is roughly 50% performance and 50% on-page.

Why does the score change each time I test?

The performance score can vary each time it's tested because it depends on network and server load at that moment. It's an estimate to help you prioritize fixes, not an absolute guarantee.

Is my website data safe?

We only fetch the public HTML of the page you enter — the same thing an ordinary visitor sees. We don't log in, don't access protected areas, and don't store sensitive content. Results are cached for 24 hours to make re-checks faster.

My score is low — what should I do?

Start with the findings marked critical — usually speed, HTTPS, or mobile readiness. Each finding comes with a short recommendation. For a full fix, the Omset Laris team offers website redesign and maintenance; you can consult directly via WhatsApp.
